free SEO tools available to track a website’s organic ranking on Google search results?

free SEO tools available – Yes, free SEO tools are available that you can use to track your site’s organic rank (search results) on Google (or other search engines). The free SEO tools have fewer features than those offered by the premium tools, but you can still get an idea of how your site is performing. Which ones should you use? Here are some of the most popular:

1. Google Search Console

The is Google Search Console, a free service that monitors the performance of the website in search results: visitors’ search queries; page rankings, traffic impressions; page clicks; average page position in search results.

Moreover, you can see which keywords are driving visitors to your site and track how your rankings evolve.

2. Ubersuggest

Ubersuggest by Neil Patel has free tools you can use to track your keyword rankings, see your top pages and check backlinks. They do have a paid version but I feel the free plan gives more than enough data for small businesses or websites.

Use it to keep tabs on your site’s rankings in the organic results, research your competitors, and get SEO recommendations.

3. SERPWatcher by Mangools (Free Trial)

SERPWatcher offers a 10-day free trial that you can use to track keyword positions and get daily ranking updates. You can see your website’s organic ranking for different keywords.

It is not completely free, but it is a good way to test your rankings without paying at first.

4. SEOquake

For example, SEOquake is a simple tool, one of hundreds available, that is free from web browsers such as Chrome and Firefox. The site provides search engine optimisation (SEO) metrics for any page you want to crawl. As seen in the screenshot below, the page contains crucial information, such as the SERP ranking (where it comes up in the organic search results), the keyword density, and other on-page SEO factors.

It doesn’t track ranking over time but, on the fly, it allows you to grasp how well any website or page is doing SEO-wise.

5. Rank Math

I’m using a free plugin for WordPress called Rank Math for SEO purposes. With it, you can track the ranking of your keywords in SERPs. The plugin allows you to optimise on-page SEO, and offers performance reports, including ranking for your keywords.

It integrates seamlessly with Google Search Console for easy tracking and reporting.

6. SERP Robot

You can try out a free SERP checker at SERP Robot where you can track your website’s SERP position in Google for selected keywords. It’s very easy to use and once your search is done you get an instant report about where your website is looking in Google’s results for that particular keyword.

The free plan allows you to check keyword rankings of up to 5 searches per day.

7. Google Analytics (Combined with Search Console)

Google Analytics, for example, does not provide keyword rank tracking, but will when hooked up to Google Search Console. This is where you can see your keyword performance and the associated traffic.

You can see how organic visitors are finding your site, and which search queries drive the most customers to you.

8. Small SEO Tools (Position Checker)

A small app called the free keyword position checker tool found at Small SEO Tools is a good bet to track where your website ranks on Google for words you think will draw people in.

It’s simple, but if you want a quick glimpse as to where you rank organically then this is it.

9. WhatsMySERP

WhatsMySERP is the free tool that can track Google rankings. You can see how your website keyword positions change.

You can track multiple keywords and get updates on your website’s ranking performance.

10. Ahrefs Webmaster Tools (Limited Free Features)

Ahrefs has a free plan (Ahrefs Webmaster Tools) that offers limited access to some of its data, such as your site’s organic keywords and overall SEO health.

The tool allows you to track where you are ranking organically and help you to improve on these.

They can be a great free tool for small businesses, startups or anyone getting started with SEO who wants to track their organic rankings without the investment of a paid-for tool but, as your SEO activities develop, the premium offerings can offer more comprehensive tracking and features.
